Fat Elvis Believe it or don’t, but...
Elvis is Dead!

“People who talk about revolution and class struggle without referring explicitly to everyday life, without understanding what is subversive about love and positive in the refusal of constraint, have corpses in their mouths.”

— Raoul Vaneigem, Traité de savoir-vivre à l'usage des jeunes générations
(Treatise on Living for the Young Generations), Paris, 1967

Chapters from the book of Elvis...

54 Priscilla leaves Germany and goes to Graceland. “Elvis! Elvis!” “Priscilla! You’re here!”

55 Priscilla is only fifteen. She goes to school in Memphis. “That’s Priscilla Beaumont.” “Elvis loves her. He's going to marry her.”

56 On May 1, 1967, Elvis and Priscilla get married. “Are you happy, Elvis?” “Yes, of course. I love you!”

57 In 1968 Elvis is on television again. He’s great! He’s the King - the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

58 Elvis and Priscilla have a daughter. “Lisa Marie is pretty, honey.” “Yes, but you never see her. You're always in Hollywood - or Las Vegas.”

59 Priscilla is not happy. “I’m leaving you Elvis. I can't be your wife. You're never here. This is goodbye.” “Oh, Priscilla! No! No!”

60 Elvis is in Graceland. But it isn’t a happy home now. Priscilla is not there, and his mother is dead. “Doctor, help me, please. I can’t sing. I’m not happy...” “OK, Elvis. Take these.”

61 Elvis sits at Graceland. He eats and he drinks. He is forty, and he is fat.
